About Me
Starting in September 2021 I became president of the MonarchTeach Student Organization. The purpose of this organization is to generate interest in STEM education and to provide opportunities for prospective STEM teachers that further their education through extracurricular means. I, with the help of the MTSO club advisors and other executive board staff, rebuilt the club after its fade-off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been able to participate in events such as Virginia Beach Girls Rock, the Norfolk Science Fair, and work with an organization called First Star to provide educational opportunities for foster kids. Pictured is the starfish dissection lab activity that I organized and executed for the event with First Star.

The Beach
The beach is my happy place- since before I can remember I have gone to the beach with my family at least once a year. I love sitting on the sand and listening to the waves, jumping in the water to boogie board until I'm exhausted, and keeping an eye out for the dolphins that occasionally make themselves known. My most frequent beach vacation is the Outer Banks in North Carolina, but I love the beaches of Florida too. One of my favorite beach activities to do is kayaking, but I have also been parasailing, jet skiing, and have taken a helicopter ride over the shore. I think the beach offers a calm place to clear your head and reflect on the beauty of nature.
Music
Music is an integral part of my everyday life. If I am idle, I will most likely start humming or singing a tune. If I need to focus on school or work, I have Lo-Fi music up in the background to get me in the groove. Even when I'm experiencing hard times I turn to the comfort of music to resonate with what I'm feeling and help me through. There is rarely a time when I can be found without a song stuck in my head. I grew up playing the piano and participating in the school choir all through my high school years. While I don't get to enjoy playing or singing in a group as much as I'd like to nowadays, I still always want to keep music as a central part of my life.
